Ohio University’s Center for Sports Administration has joined efforts with Legends and TeamWork Consulting in a project to recruit and invite 75 special guests to attend its second annual Ohio University Sports Career Fair and Open House. The selected candidates must be driven and ambitious with the goal of looking for an entry level sales position in sports with a number of sports properties including but not limited to:
- Legends
- Columbus Blue Jackets
- Columbus Crew
- Cleveland Indians
- Cleveland Cavaliers
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Reds
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Detroit Red Wings
- Pittsburgh Pirates
- IMG College
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Ohio University’s Center for Sports Administration is proud to present the Darren Butler 2013 Sports Business Forum on Friday October 18th, 2013 in Athens, OH. The Forum began as a professional development seminar that highlighted careers in sports. Today the event has grown onto a career fair, private recruiting seminar hosted by Legends, open house for Ohio University’s MBA/MSA Program and a series of guest speakers that includes:
- Corey Breton – Vice President of Sales & Service / Minnesota Timberwolves
- Jarrod Krissloff – Sr. Director of Marketing / Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- Dina Sabau – Sr. Associate Athletic Director / Ohio State University
- Chelsea Wilson – Brand Marketing Manager / Rawlings Sporting Goods
- Dan Hauser – Sr. Vice president of Corporate Sales / Philadelphia 76’ers
- Kevin Griffin – VP of Fan Experience & Marketing / Cleveland Browns
- Jack Vivian - Former Scout / New York Islanders
- Paul Kruger – Coordinator of Minor League Operations / Texas Operations

In addition to the graduate and undergraduate students at Ohio University this event is open to 75 undergraduates from other universities that will be looking for internships and entry level jobs after graduation this coming winter and spring. The 75 non-Ohio students will be provided a personal invitation, and will be asked to pay a registration fee of $40. Additionally Ohio University’s MBA/MSA Program, a program that is ranked # 1 in the world by Sport Business International, will be hosting a special open house for prospective students.
Jobs that will be recruited for at the Career Fair Include:
- Inside sales representatives
- Marketing associates
- Client service representatives
- Group sales representatives
- Summer Internships ( sales, marketing, operations & facilities)
- Season long internships ( sales, marketing, operations & facilities )
